I applied for two jobs today! YAY! One got back to me right away saying their manager is on leave until March 6 and the other I will call tomorrow.  Brandon is still applying also and talking to recruiters.  We thought he was going to have an interview tomorrow, but it is not panning out.  This evening and tomorrow morning we had/have appointments to see two more places for temporary housing.  It is a bit unnerving that we don’t have any leads as far as jobs yet to narrow down the area we want to live.  Soon it will happen so we are going to try to buy ourselves some time.  I don’t want us in the position of having to get a year lease on something that isn’t a good fit and not near the areas we are job hunting.

As a reward for getting so much done the last few days, we had a fun afternoon in Manly.  We were going to visit the Sea Life Aquarium, but it was closed due to storm damage so we did a headland walk instead.  We saw a water lizard and amazing views of the Northern Beaches and Sydney itself.  The water was gorgeous and it was warm enough to enjoy it today.  Not hot like this weekend, but perfect bush walking weather with a nice breeze.  The map we got said echidnas were sometimes spotted in the area and I was looking hard, but did not find one.  Later in the day when we stopped for a snack I did find a 5 cent piece which has an echidna on it so I ended up finding one anyways! 🙂  We ate a late supper of grocery store sushi, which was cheapish and delicious.  Showered the day’s hiking sweat off and crashed.  Tomorrow will be another chance, another day, another adventure.  Cheers and good night!  Enjoy the pictures!
