For my Birthday trip this year, we elected to stay in NSW due to Australian state boarders closing and opening due to COVID cases. It was a great time in the Southern Highlands and South Coast! The first two places we stayed in Bungonia and Robertson, we stayed in tiny houses, booked through https://www.in2thewild.co/en/bookings?. We are interested in tiny living in the future and wanted to check it out. Both these tiny houses were off grid; had tanked water, compostable toilets and solar panels that charged batteries for power. Both were also quite small and on trailers so could be moved. The first, Walden, was in a cow pasture with eucalyptus trees around and had a resident wombat I named Itchy. There was no mobile service. The second, Edmund, was on top of a hill, also in a cow pasture, with amazing views and mobile service. Tiny living suited us fine. There was no TV, so we entertained ourselves by buying paint by numbers and having our own paint and sip. We had a few days in each place, then spent a few days in Kiama along the coast to finish off the trip. We did parkrun, we went on hikes, we went out to dinner and explored the nearby little country towns of Berry, Berrima, Kangaroo Valley, Bowral, and Gerringong . We went shopping, saw the sites, went to wineries, ate and drank some more. π It was super relaxing and we had awesome weather right until the last day. The it proceeded to rain for two weeks straight upon our return to Sydney. Flooding is happening outside of Sydney and minimally around the city as well. See the map for where we all were and enjoy our pictures!
Brandon changed up our website as I kept running out of room for our pictures. Hope it is still as easy to use and see everything for you! π
