Happy Spring to all my Southern Hemisphere readers!! And happy back to school for all my US ones!

This winter (June-Aug for Australia) has been pretty low key as we have been in lockdown for most of it. We were meant to go to the Snowy Mountains for our first Australian ski vacation, but had to cancel. We did a ski stay-cation instead which was entertaining. We did a smores kit, got food from a fancy French restaurant and did a local hike. I watched Brandon play the Witcher 3 video game which was really entertaining. I had a yoga retreat booked and we were going to go to Adelaide, South Australia for a holiday in September here, but that all got cancelled too. So we have just been chilling at home. We started a weekly video game night with friends on Steam. I have been working on paint by numbers and watched all of Outlander. We have been staying in touch with friends and family with video chats. I just ordered a bunch of yarn to keep up on my scarves. We have been getting out running a few times a week to keep up for parkrun. Brandon has been working on his flexibility with yoga videos and I have been doing Pilates ones. Of course being at home means much more love for Fiyero. Hence all the cat pictures. Brandon is working from home all the time like usual, but I am still going in; though I am driving instead of public transport to limit my exposure. We had been averaging 1200 cases a day and are trying to get our vaccination rates up in order to combat this Delta strain that circulating. Both Brandon and I had the Pfizer jab this week. (Aussies love slang so of course they can’t just say vaccine or vac. :)) Hopefully with the state doing so well with vaccines, things will start opening up in the next couple of months. We have been trying to still support our favorite restaurants around us by getting take away a few times a week. It is really a win for everyone, because it is delicious and then Brandon doesn’t have to cook. The weather has been overall lovely- sunny and warm during the day.
