Brandon got a job!  YAY!  He starts after Easter doing contract work for a guy he met at a Meet Up. Very good news!

We finally went to the Beauty and the Beast movie at the Orpheum after rewatching the Disney one.

This week at work has been good for me as I take on more of the head nurse role.  One of our doctors and our Practice Manager are off the rest of the month so that both adds to and lessens my responsibilities in different ways.  I may be doing the next schedule too so that would mean more of a chance of me getting off July to come back to the US.  🙂  We shall see how it all shakes out

Friday through Monday are public holiday days and everyone has off of work.  Brandon and I have plans to go to a free Easter fair in the Eastern suburbs, Easter Vigil mass Saturday at our church by our house, then Canberra by bus Sunday through Monday.  Busy week, but four days of work for me to make it through first.

This weekend was sunny and warm, so nice!! Saturday Brandon got up and walked around Cremorne twice while I slept in.  Once by himself and once with our roommate Heidi.  We visited a local bedding store that was closing down and bought cheat sheets and pillows.  Our pillows in our room were kinda flat so we are excited about our new ones.  We then decided to do another beach walk, this time from Sirius Reserve to Chowder’s Head.  It was very nice, a great nature walk with nice views along the harbor.  Then we went out to dinner at a local Thai tapas restaurant with Heidi.  Sunday we went to church for Palm Sunday, ate some lunch, then our roommates took us on a road trip to Palm Beach, about 45 mins away.  Home and Away is a popular soap opera like show in the Australia and UK show that is filmed on the beach and in the area.  Brandon did some swimming and on the way back we stopped at a home store.  We found some beach chairs that were on uber sale.

Our roommates have been so great. Taking us places, cooking us food, teaching us the lingo, discussing work, and making plans to hang out and explore more of Australia.  We have been so lucky and enjoying our time here.  We found out our boxes should be in Sydney Harbor the beginning of June.  So we will have some time to see where we want to live and when we are planning on moving.  So far we are happy where we are and content to stay.  Enjoy the pictures; they are in reverse order.  Sorry this is a bit choppy.  I wrote it a little distracted by Australian TV. 🙂
