Don’t we make quite the trio?  Adorable!!

Hi All!  I am back in Australia and enjoying the sun and the warmth.  I had a nice visit back to Wisconsin and got to catch up with a few people this time around.  Thank you to everyone who fit me in their schedules; it was so nice to see you!  I am happy to be out of the cold!  All of you are mad to live there and need to come vacation here!!  Traveling alone was no sweat.  It helps to have so much experience with airports and flying. I was able to sleep quite a bit on my long flights, so that was good.  Brandon and Jax picked me up from the airport Saturday morning.  My flight was an hour late because we had to wait for a another pilot in LA.

My dad’s surgery went well and he only had to stay in the hospital two nights.  He has to go back down to the specialists a few more times for rechecks and testing to see if the surgery worked.  My parents we so glad to have me there to help out.  I was able to help with winter prep outside with leaves and putting Christmas lights up.  I even was on the roof blowing leaves from the gutters.  It was great to spend so much time with my parents.  The last six months have been rough on them, so I was glad to be there.  They have a little ways to go until Dad is back to a normal life, but I have faith and optimism that it will be soon.  Please keep the good thoughts and prayers headed their way!

My immediate family did get to celebrate Thanksgiving a day early.  We had the big meal at my parents’ house.  I left on Thanksgiving so we watched some of the Macy’s parade and sorted through the ads.  My first flight was pretty empty, but the rest were full.  There was an empty seat next to me on the long flight back which was delightful.  14.4 hours is a little easier when you can stretch out your legs.

Brandon and the cats survived without me.  He sent me pictures of proof throughout my time away.   They have started decorating for Christmas here and it is fun to see fake trees, garland, etc when it is so nice out.  This weekend has been pretty relaxed.  Saturday, when I got back, I unpacked and then we went for lunch at Sushi Train. We then went for a walk around our apartment and grocery shopped.  Today, we went to church, then sat out on the patio and looked at potential properties.  I work this Saturday, so we will have to wait until the 9th to go to showings, unless there are any we can make during the week.  Apartment hunting will be fun, but also stressful since there is so much competition.  Brandon’s Birthday will also be here before we know it!  Number thirty!!  So crazy and exciting!!

Have a happy week all and enjoy the pictures.  I should be back to posting weekly, pending moving craziness. 🙂
